Japanese artist Aki Inomata's 3D printed cities for hermit crabs

Aki Inomata's 3D printed cities - New York, Thailand, Greece - were a hit for her little hermit crab population!  I think these stunning clear plastic printed architectural homes look like sparkling crystal or diamond constructions!! I have a deep fascination for hermit crabs and often find myself immersed in the repetition of catching them with my hands, inspecting them, letting them scuttle away and, on occasion, watching them change shells. Changing homes and cities has been a defining characteristic of my life...so I get it!!
